Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and if you haven’t made a dinner reservation yet or just drawing a blank on how to celebrate with your significant other, I’m here to save the day! I’ve put together a list of eight Seattle date ideas that can satisfy whatever feel you’re going for.

Seattle Great Wheel and Wings Over Washington

If you’re looking for an adventurous Valentine’s Day, the Seattle waterfront will give you exactly what you want. The Seattle Great Wheel provides a fantastic lookout of the city and next door to it, Wings Over Washington gives people a virtual ride over various Washington staples and views.

Woodland Park Zoo

Not every Valentine’s Day needs to include a candlelight dinner. You can easily celebrate with friends or your significant other with a trip to the Woodland Park Zoo, a lowkey but memorable and fun date.

Dine-In Cinema

Central Cinema is Seattle’s only dine-in theater and provides dinner and a movie, the ultimate date night, in one stop. The Valentine’s Day showing includes a double feature of Sleepless in Seattle.

Pike Place Market and Improv Show

Flowers are synonymous with Valentine’s Day and any Seattleite will know you can get a great bouquet at Pike Place Market. Wander around the famous market with flowers in hand, before heading to Unexpected Productions in Post Alley for their comedy improv show “Comedy of Love”.

Volunteer Park Conservatory

The Volunteer Park Conservatory is already a romantic setting, but they’re upping the romance for Valentine’s Day! The conservatory is hosting an intimate concert, featuring Sub Rosa and The Friends, that will also include finger food and a cash bar.

Dick’s Drive-In and Kerry Park

If you’re looking for cost effective Valentine’s Day plans, you can’t go wrong with Dick’s Drive-In and a trip to Kerry Park. It’s truly a Seattle staple. If you’re thinking about going to the Queen Anne location, try snagging a table for their special Valentine’s Day event, “Ricardo Club 19”.

Seattle Aquarium

The Seattle Aquarium is hosting an event, After Hours No-Pressure Valentine’s Day, with tickets only going for $25. The 21+ event will feature music, a bar, food, and of course the opportunity to see and learn more about aquatic creatures.

Happy Hour at a Rooftop Bar

Gather your best gal pals for a Galentine’s Day happy hour at a rooftop bar! Seattle has plenty that provide exceptional views of the city, including Frolik, MBar, and The Nest.
