The Fourth of July is a fun, summer holiday that lends itself to creative and delicious recipes. Flag cakes, stars and stripes-themed fruit platters, and BBQ are all popular, patriotic options and common party foods.

Now I’m adding a yummy dessert to the list! Rice Krispie treats are fan-favorites and can easily be turned into a Fourth of July recipe. These red, white, and blue stars will be the perfect addition to a summer spread and will keep the fun times rolling!

  1. Melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted.

  2. Remove from heat and add in cereal.

  3. Grease 9x11 pan and add mixture in. Spray hand with cooking spray and flatten mixture.

  4. While warm, decorate with sprinkles.
