Valentine's Mini Pizza Pockets
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be all about chocolates and sweet treats.
This year, I’ve taken one of my go-to favorites of homemade pizza pockets and given it a festive Valentine’s twist!
Whether you’re planning a cozy night in with your significant other, hosting a fun galentine’s dinner with friends, or simply treating yourself to a well-deserved solo date night, this recipe is the perfect way to celebrate. It’s comforting, customizable, and made with love, because Valentine’s Day should be just as much about enjoying good food as it is about sweets.
Valentine’s Mini Pizza Pockets
Two refrigerated tubes of pizza crust
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3 tbsp marinara sauce
12 sliced pepperonis
Olive oil
Sprinkle of oregano
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Roll out the two pizza crusts. Using a medium to large heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out an even number of hearts.
Arrange half of the heart shapes on a baking sheet. Put 1/2 tbsp of marinara sauce on each piece, then top with pepperoni slices and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Make sure to leave a little room around the edges.
Cover the ingredients with the other half of heart-shaped dough. Using a fork, seal the edges of the hearts.
Brush the top of each one with oil, then sprinkle lightly with oregano and the last 1/4 cup of cheese.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until each pizza pocket is golden.
